Christian Kerley, the deputy finance director of Cumberland County, received recognition at the June meeting of the Cumberland County Commission for his recent achievement in becoming a certified county finance officer through the state of Tennessee. This certification is a significant milestone, as it underscores Kerley's professional expertise and commitment to financial management within local government.
County Mayor Allen Foster highlighted the rarity of this certification, noting that only a select number of professionals in Tennessee hold this designation. Among them is Cumberland County's own Finance Director, Jennifer Turner, who joined Foster in presenting Kerley with a commemorative certificate during the meeting.
