DLA Piper Picks Up Debt Finance Lawyer Teixeira in Washington

DLA Piper has added Andre Teixeira as a partner in its project finance practice, based in the firm's Washington office. The announcement was made Wednesday.

Teixeira brings deep experience in debt finance, with a particular focus on energy and infrastructure projects. His practice covers the full spectrum of project finance work, including the structuring and negotiation of complex lending arrangements for large-scale developments. He has advised lenders, sponsors, and developers on deals involving renewable energy, conventional power, and transportation assets.

Before joining DLA Piper, Teixeira was a partner at another international law firm, where he spent several years building a reputation for handling high-value cross-border transactions. His work often involves coordinating legal teams across multiple jurisdictions to manage regulatory hurdles and secure financing for projects in emerging markets.

The hire strengthens DLA Piper's project finance capabilities in the U.S. capital, a key market for energy transition and infrastructure investment. The firm has been actively expanding its finance practice to meet growing client demand for counsel on sustainable energy projects and public-private partnerships. Teixeira's arrival is expected to bolster the team's ability to handle both domestic and international matters, particularly as lenders and investors seek legal support for increasingly complex deal structures.
