Frequency Electronics has picked Allen Kaplan to serve as its next chief financial officer, effective November 1, 2026. Kaplan will join the senior executive leadership team and report directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Tom McClelland.
Kaplan comes to the company after a long tenure at Leidos Defense Sector, where he most recently served as vice president of finance. His background covers financial planning, program controls, and contract management across large defense and government programs. The appointment follows a transition period for the finance organization.
Alongside the leadership change, the company reaffirmed its financial targets for fiscal 2029. Management said the outlook remains unchanged and pointed to steady demand for its precision timing and frequency control products used in defense, space, and secure communications applications.
McClelland said Kaplan's experience with complex defense programs aligns with the company's focus on execution and margin improvement. Kaplan said he looks forward to working with the team on the next phase of growth.
The company said the transition is structured to keep financial reporting and controls uninterrupted. Kaplan will assume his duties at the start of November.
