Roanoke Introduces Financial Wellness Program for Community Residents

ROANOKE, Va. – The City of Roanoke has announced the launch of the “Bank on Roanoke Valley Financial Wellness Series,” designed to enhance the financial literacy of its residents. This innovative program will span six months and is limited to just 15 participants, making it essential for interested individuals to register promptly as spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Officials emphasize the importance of financial wellness in today’s economy, aiming to equip residents with vital skills and knowledge to manage their finances effectively. The series will be facilitated by dedicated volunteers from the Bank On Roanoke Valley Education Network, who bring a wealth of expertise in financial education.

Participants can expect to engage in various workshops and discussions that cover essential topics such as budgeting, saving, credit management, and investing. The initiative reflects Roanoke's commitment to fostering a financially informed community, empowering residents to make sound financial decisions for their futures.
